While filming with Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya, Sergei Selin did not expect to be so similar to the famous Terkin.
The makeup seems to be insignificant and the costume is simple, but the pose and expression of the soldier’s eyes are captured incredibly accurately.

A moment - and our contemporary becomes an exact copy of the character in famous paintings. Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya, the daughter of the famous poet, came to such an unexpected vision ten years ago.

A translator by profession, Rozhdestvenskaya took up the camera. And her first model was her friend Irina Allegrova in the image of Nefertitti.
Ekaterina admits that she received a good inheritance from her father - famous friends: Kobzon, Leshchenko, Shirvindt, who immediately appreciated and supported her idea.

Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya was born in Moscow in the family of the poet Robert Rozhdestvensky and the literary critic Alla Kireeva.
In 1979 she graduated from the Moscow State Institute international relations majoring in International Relations.
Ekaterina is a professional translator of fiction from English and French. Translated more than a dozen novels. Among them are “The Russia House” and “The Secret Pilgrim” by John Le Carré, “The Russian Diary” by John Steinbeck, Maugham’s stories, and Sheldon’s novels.
In 1998 she began to study photography. Since 2000, Ekaterina’s works have been published in the monthly magazine “Caravan of Stories” on an ongoing basis.
Today, Ekaterina is the author and performer of 30 photo projects. Among them: “Private Collection”, “Associations”, “Man and Woman”, “Reincarnation”, “Photo Proofs”, “Childhood Dreams”, “Brothers and Sisters”, “Relatives”, “Maps”, “Still Lifes”, “ Classics”, “Fairy Tales”, “Masters”, “Vintage”, “12 Months” and many others. Ekaterina shoots covers for the magazines “Caravan of Stories” and “Collection of the Caravan of Stories”, and is also the Chief Editor of the weekly magazine “7 Days”. To date, she has completed more than 5,000 works.

The “Private Collection” project is a unique business card Catherine. “Private Collection” of Ekaterina Rozhdestvenskaya is a gallery of portraits of our famous contemporaries. Catherine’s idea is to present the stars of Russian show business, politicians, actors, musicians, and athletes as heroes of the paintings of great artists.
For the first time, photographs from the “Private Collection” series appeared on the pages of the “Caravan of Stories” magazine in March 2000 and immediately attracted attention. These works reveal to the viewer the paintings of famous artists from different eras in a new way: our famous contemporaries become heroes of paintings of the past. Rozhdestvenskaya began to photograph stars in a way that, at least in Russia, no one had photographed before her: with the help of professional makeup, costumes and sets.
At the moment, “Private Collection” is the largest photo project of its kind in Russia.
